Hi, I’m Steph! I’m a part-time dieter, and a full time mom. I lost 35 pounds last year following an intermittent fasting diet, and I’ve never felt better! I truly believe it is the easiest way for anyone to lose weight – and the best part is that it is totally free!
Like many others, my weight gain slowly creeped up on me. I gained 15 pounds in college, and then another 15 working full time (office donuts, sigh). Then while pregnant, I gained another 25 pounds. I didn’t love my weight and suddenly found myself with 50+ pounds to lose.
I never felt like I was eating excessively, but gaining weight was so easy for me to do. I’ve followed many diets in the past, including Weight Watchers, a ketogenic diet, and the Atkins low carb diet. All of them were moderately successful, but they never felt sustainable to me. Could I really give up birthday cake and office donuts — forever??
Intermittent Fasting has been a game changer for me, and I hope it can be for you, too. Instead of giving up birthday cake and donuts forever, I am avoiding them just for today. I call it a “part time diet” because when I am not fasting, I am eating the regular foods that I enjoy.
The funny thing is, once you remove junk foods from your “naughty list”, they don’t seem so appealing anymore. And the anticipation you’ll have for food to enjoy later is the key to success for this diet.
I have found so many other benefits from fasting, including increased energy levels and appetite control, that I’m convinced I’ll be a faster for life! Join me on this journey as I continue to incorporate IF into my lifestyle to reach my health and weight loss goals.
