Eat, Fast & Live Longer
A Documentary by Dr. Michael Mosley

Watch this first! This documentary offers a fascinating view into the science of fasting, both for weight loss and general health purposes.


The Every Other Day Diet
A book by Dr. Krista Varady

Dr Varady’s book details the specific form of intermittent fasting I used to lose weight. In simplified terms, you alternate between days of fasting (one meal, approx 500 calories), and days of feasting (regular meals, approx 2000 – 2500 calories). I always left a little bit of leeway for the weekends.

There are many fasting support groups on Facebook that will serve as a source of encouragement for you while following an IF diet.  I personally recommend this one:
